Tools
BalancedCommunity is dedicated to developing innovative tools for the planning community. The tools are designed to help communities gather, organize and communicate information. We are working hard to provide you with new tools so check back soon for updates. Also, the BC Blog

BCParticipate
Increase Participation and Collaboration.
BCSurvey was developed to provide communities an efficient and cost effective way to gather input at meetings and beyond. The tool uses SMS technology to invite participation and provides a live dashboard to display results. Eliminate the need to purchase expensive polling keypads and configure new voting software by using SMS technology! You choose your phone number and your questions, we set it up. You do not have to share a shortcode with other users and we provide your data to you in any format you want.
BCNetwork is a place for planners, staff, community members and consultants to share information and collaborate on difficult planning problems. The network can be used for project specific collaboration, or for long-term communication.

BCVisualize
Enhance Data Visualization and Analysis.
BCMap uses Google Maps, Flash and Flex to map time series data. You can map anything with a date and a latitude and longitude (real estate sales, zoning changes, building permits, crimes, meeting locations etc). The user interface allows you to upload and map your own data and provides a permalink so you can share your map or embed it on your webpage.
BCTimeline is an interactive timeline tool which allows you to efficiently store and display information on one page. It can be used to document events, projects, reports etc., both in the past and future. The example timeline is hosted at the BC Blog
