3.2.12 GoodMeat iOS App Launched!

BalancedCommunity, in partner with Ned McClain, just launched our first iphone app! GoodMeat uses publicly available data to tell consumers whether their meat comes from a processing facility that has recent health, safety or humane treatment violations. Know before you Buy!

2.29.12 Ted Live Simulcast

For the first time ever, TedX Boulder was permitted to simulcast the live TED event. The simulcast was hosted at Shine Boulder. We saw an interesting array of presentations, including topics like DARPA developments, liquid metal batteries, agile aerial robots, nature filming and the greenhouse effect.

11.30.11 Ignite Boulder

BalancedCommunity had a client appreciation night at Ignite Boulder 17. We heard a series of quick, fun and interesting presentations on topics like 'how to lie with maps and charts' and 'dating with data'.

11.1.11 Computing Education & Future Jobs: National, State & Congressional District Data

BC just wrapped up a project with the National Center for Women in Technology. The interactive online map presents education and workforce data at the national, state, and congressional district levels.

10.11.11 Boulder Permits

We recently finished a site that provides information on recent projects submitted for Development Review and Board Action per Title 9 of the Boulder Revised Code. Participate and sign up to receive notice when a new project is submitted for development review. Be part of the planning process.

7.15.11 SMS Surveys

We recently wrapped up a recreation study for the Iowa West Foundation. BC headed up the youth outreach effort. Youth tend to be a harder group to reach, however we were able to use a combination of SMS, Web and Facebook to reach of broad range of youth in the county. We also used Moo.com to print mini cards with information about the study. The cards were handed out at local stores and youth hangouts.
